Our Story
Atelier Akina was founded in Sydney in 2023 by Australian-Chinese designer Akina Lam. Before launching her own brand, Akina pursued a design career in the tech industry, creating brands, websites, and apps for others.
However, after spending almost a decade of turning other people’s dreams into reality, she realised it was time to fulfil her own dream. Her passion had always been to craft with her hands and bring more beauty into the physical space, not just the digital.
She also had a lifelong passion of expressing your unique self in your personal style with jewellery. By combining these two passions, Atelier Akina was born.

Jewellery should feel as good as it looks. That’s why we use 14K gold-filled—a material chosen for its perfect balance of durability, radiance, and comfort.
Why gold-filled, not gold plated?
Unlike gold plating, where a thin layer of gold is simply dipped onto a base metal, gold-filled is up to 10 times thicker and bonded with heat and pressure, making it far more long-lasting.
