She enjoys drawing inspiration from historical art pieces and vintage jewellery, as well as her own Australian-Chinese heritage, to create unique pieces that feel both contemporary and timeless.

Luxury You Can Wear Every Day
Jewellery should feel as good as it looks. That’s why we use 14K gold-filled—a material chosen for its perfect balance of durability, radiance, and comfort.
Why gold-filled, not gold plated?
Unlike gold plating, where a thin layer of gold is simply dipped onto a base metal, gold-filled is up to 10 times thicker and bonded with heat and pressure, making it far more long-lasting.

Frustrated by mass-produced jewellery that felt impersonal and lacked artistry, Akina left a successful career in technology and design in 2023 to pursue her true passion. Discover the story behind Atelier Akina and how it all began.
