Lunar New Year 2026: Year of the Fire Horse

Lunar New Year is just around the corner, and 2026 brings in the Year of the Fire Horse, a year that’s all about confidence, movement, and that little spark that pushes us forward.

It’s honestly one of my favourite times of year. It’s when families come together, visit relatives, and share wishes for prosperity, health, and longevity. In my family, it always ends with a big feast and lots of laughter!

When Lunar New Year Begins (and How Long It Lasts)

This year, Lunar New Year begins on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. That’s when the celebrations officially kick off, welcoming the fiery, spirited energy of the Fire Horse.

Traditionally, the festival lasts 15 days, ending with the Lantern Festival. It marks the end of the new year festivities. On this day, families often eat tangyuan (汤圆), soft glutinous rice balls filled with sesame, peanut, red bean, or no filling at all. They represent togetherness and reunion because the word sounds like “union.” People may also light and display lanterns to represent brightness, guidance, and new blessings for the year ahead.

Most families gather for the biggest celebrations in the first few days, but the full festival stretches across two beautiful, joy-filled weeks.

A Limited Edition Lunar New Year Collection Coming Soon

With the season approaching, I wanted to bring something special to life. I’ve been quietly crafting a limited edition Lunar New Year collection, featuring pieces that honour the traditional festive colours of red and gold. It’s a modern, subtle way to bring in that lucky pop of red, perfect for those who love a more minimal wardrobe or prefer a softer, pulled-back look.

This drop will be preorder-only with very limited quantities. Once a piece is sold out, it won’t be restocked. Each design is slow-made in the atelier and created to be treasured long after the holiday has passed.

Alternative Lunar New Year Jewellery

If you’re looking for something less festive and more wearable for everyday, you may find something you love in our New Blessings Earrings Collection.

In Chinese culture, the number three carries a gentle harmony of fortune, prosperity, and longevity. Each earring brings together three stones, unified by a golden circle that speaks to wholeness, continuity, and the beauty of a life coming full circle.

There are 10 blessings to choose from, each embodied through different stones. You can pick the blessing you want to welcome into your year, or gift it to someone you love, so they can carry that intention with them every day.
