Welcome to my atelier

Atelier Akina began at the end of 2023, when I decided to take a break after seven intense years in the fast-paced world of tech and design. Burnout had crept in quietly, and I knew I needed space to pause and reconnect with what truly lights me up.

Creating became my way back to joy. I’ve always expressed myself through fashion and accessories, so one day I thought: why not make jewellery? And just like that, my love for craft and fashion came together — giving life to Atelier Akina.

At first, I thought I wanted to turn it into a full-time business. But the more I created, the more I realised this was never just about building a brand — it was about staying connected. To my creativity. To my love for craftsmanship. And, in many ways, to my Chinese heritage. I often find myself drawing inspiration from my roots, my upbringing, and my love for art.

Every piece is slow-made in small batches and thoughtfully priced. The cost reflects not just the materials and packaging, but also the time spent sourcing, sketching, experimenting, and handcrafting — all the steps that go into making something meaningful.

I make jewellery as a reminder to follow what lights me up, to honour your true self. And I hope that when you wear my pieces, they remind you to do the same.
